The ships Guild Painting Award 2025

Just found out that I have won a painting award to travel on an Eco-shipping vessel to Sweden. I don't have all the details of the prize yet but watch this space for more details in the coming weeks.

I won the award by painting the Brixham Trawler Vigilance BM76. The ship is on the National Historic Register which records and works to celebrate ships that are over 100 years old.

I captured the ship as it underwent a major restoration project at Sterling and Sons number 1 slipway in Plymouth. The yard its self is famous for being the oldest working covered slipway in the world.

I will post another entry on the paintings and the trip to the boatyard another day, for now I just wanted to announce that I had won another Award.
