Italian Residency 2024

It was Spring in 2024 I flew into Pisa airport to head an Art Residency in Montemarcello, a small hill top village. The chance to explore and create Art in the Italian villages was a dream come true. The residency was created by a couple with a deep understanding of the need for artist to have time away to recharge artistic batteries. This residency was certainly that. Based in a wonderful medieval village with stunning coastline. 300m below the cliff tops is a busy port with an array of vessels in the harbour to inspire my brush and mind. I was joined by the wonderful artists Gemma Appleby and Abigail McDougall.
