Sea

Painting the Sea has always been an aim and a challenge. The sea both excites me and scares me its this paradox that I love to explore in the painting. There is so much I love about painting the sea, its the textures of the surface the mathematics of the ripples, waves and swell. There is so much I am unpicking when I paint the sea some of which is conceptual and other aspects unconscious and deep routed.
